Three stacked layers make up the silhouette: a travertine cylinder on top, a band of dark wood in the middle and a slightly shorter travertine cylinder below. Offered in natural beige or as a black travertine pendant light, Saturnia's central wooden ring overhangs both stone sections, creating a play of shadow between the levels.

Both stone sections show their natural cavities and deep pits, in tones from light beige to earthy brown, or in a deep charcoal black that emphasizes every crater. The mahogany-toned wood, the same on both finishes, contrasts smoothly with the rough mineral. Light escapes from the bottom of the lower cylinder and between the levels, casting horizontal flashes on the surrounding walls.
At 17 cm (6.7 in) across and 12.5 cm (4.9 in) tall, it has a dense, almost sculptural presence above a dining table or in an entryway.
