An elongated, almost bulbous teardrop topped with a finely turned cone of light wood: the Mistral rattan teardrop pendant light runs its rattan rods vertically from top to bottom, cinched at the waist by a denser woven band, like a pod about to open.

Once lit, the bulb stays visible between the rods and light spills out in wide rays that project a vertical pattern on the walls, while the fibers warm toward gold. The beige version pairs blond rattan with light wood; the black version turns the rattan deep matte black against the light wooden tip.
At 40 cm (15.7 in) wide and 40 cm (15.7 in) tall, it has real volume for generous ceiling heights: alone at the center of a stairwell, above a long dining table under a high ceiling, over a sofa area in an open living room, or above the bed in place of bedside lamps.
