Two corollas of jute rope, wound strand by strand over a fine frame, overlap slightly off-center. Their edges ripple freely, never twice the same way, like a broad leaf that curled as it dried: this is the Naxos jute pendant light.

Once lit, light falls in a tight circle beneath the lower corolla and escapes like the teeth of a comb between the strands of the upper one, while the nearby wall picks up an enlarged, softened silhouette of the fixture. The jute keeps its visible fibers and shades from sand to honey, and because each shade is wound by hand, the waves at the edge differ from piece to piece.
Four diameters: 30 cm (11.8 in) above a nightstand or in a row along a hallway, 40 cm (15.7 in) over a round table or reading corner, 50 cm (19.7 in) alone above a dining table, and 60 cm (23.6 in) as a centerpiece over a kitchen island or under a high ceiling.
